When fully completed we are expecting a 5* rating currently
we will only recieve 4* The garden being the final stage. We anticipate recieving this before next summer. Update house,
breakfast, bedrooms, bathrooms all got 5*but we remain with 4 until the garden is done. The report is available for you to

A warm welcome to all. Holtwood is a recently built luxury home on the edge of the National
Park. Built and designed by us. Of course by the time we could afford to build and the house was finished the family had all
moved out!! I decided to open a bed and breakfast(well it was either that, a job, or go nuts!)
Holtwood was built for the 21century,all
the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms individually designed,contempory basins, heated towel rails, shaver lights,a
constant hot water supply with a rapid heat recovery system to the mains pressure showers. Holtwood has underfloor
heating to the ground floor and thermostatically controlled radiators in all the bedrooms.
An ideal spot to explore the countryside of South Wales. The waterfalls
are trully stunning and of course the Dinosaur Park at Dan-yr-Orgof is very close. Ystradgynlais is just 1/2
amile away and offers pubs,restaurants,banks ,post office etc.We are 17miles
from Swansea and the beautiful beaches.7miles from Neath and with easy access to the M4.
Maybe its just the peace and quiet you desire. We have a farm to the rear
and views of the black mountains from the front. A very peaceful location. Our guests are free to come and go as
they please and a key is provided.
There are tea/coffee making facilities
in each room along with TV,clock radio,hairdryer,clothes brush even a sewing kit(well you never know). Iron and ironing board
available and drying facilities.
While the
house may be modern the welcome is traditional. Friendly, relaxed,warm and affordable.
Breakfast
is served in the dining room where we offer both the traditional full breakfast or the not so light continental.
On the menu you will find; juice,cereals,toast,marmalade,jam etc. Were
possible our food is sourced locally. Our sausages bacon and eggs are all local and free range. Our tomatoes are
organic.(local when in season) We use free range eggs and only buy products that use the same.
Some eat to live ,we live to eat!!

Ystradgynlais is situated on the A4067. Once you arrive in the town (cross roads) turn into Station Road(its the
only one way at the crossroad) then follow the road all the way to the top of the hill. As you reach the mini roundabout look
left and you will see a cream house with block drive set back on the old road. You have arrived!!
